MAKE UP new movie shot on P2

Hi there.

We're shooting a feature film on P2 (HVX200) for general release in digital projection.

WE SKIP 35mm or any film entirely!

We're shooting on P2 (with Redrock Micro). With DVrack we go directly to harddisk (terabites here we come). Edit on harddisk (ofcourse) and project from harddisk.

Is this an industry first? We think so.

This is what happened to the printing industry 25 years ago... (Desktop Hollywood)

The first 5 days of shooting are in and it is looking great. We've got some really distorted test scenes at http://www.youtube.com/makeupfilm .

They went to tape and projection came from 35mm... We're all harddisk and projections will be in Jpeg2000. No film "intermediate".

We'll be adding some new videos next week, I'll see if we can get som higher resolution. Depth of field with Redrockmicro and canon lenses is fabulous. The HVX combination gives us the chances to get 20 takes or more of the same shot at the same price. We've got out of the beta test phase and now use 2.0 DVrack HD. Pc's can hardly keep up with the datastreams. And the first terabyte is coming closer...
