the WAITING KINDRED ---"A HORRIFYING MUST SEE MOVIE!!!"

And this will be the third insult from you with no direct response. But for you to keep trying at an argument. Says a lot to me about you. And i've had my fight already, and it never included you. So please lets move on.

No, but seriously- You've got to learn some tact. Industry's got no place for the tactless, I guarantee you.

I've got no insults for The Waiting Kindred, you'll do what you love and that's fine by I. Keep throwing your passive insults around, maybe you'll strike gold by insulting someone who might've been able to give you a chance to do something serious, instead of waiting around in hopes to win a camera.

Ja ne, minna.

You're crazy ignorant. I'm quoting myself because you hacked it like a producer does a movie review. Please, include the rest.

That's my last post here. Good luck in the future.

Yeah you're looking for a fight! And this is the wrong place to find it. And so as you insult me for the fourth time with no direct response. I bid you goodby. Hope you had fun.

I can see both sides of the argument here but, one fact remains the same...
we all have different backgrounds. I have developed thick skin over the years
with all kinds of varying comments from all kinds off people. I talk to
my colleagues it's the same way. We joke, we make obscenely harsh criticisms
of each others work, **** can almost anything despite feelings. I carry that
over, unfourtunately everywhere I go because it is not foriegn to me.

As a matter of fact pmgmedia I did use Word... but then I pasted into PS
for my hackjob on the titles. I think anyone here would agree that the
subtitles for my film need work, let alone massive kerning, which I have
already noted.

I never got my answer to which programs mamergex used.

3dsMax, Maya, XSI, Lightwave, Fusion, AE, Combustion,
Vray, Final Render, Brazil, Maxwell....etc.

Give me a clue? I trying to make a connection here so help me
out. There's no reason to fight. The olive branch has been extended.
If you would like to discuss your film then let's discuss it.

I'm not an enemy here.

:beer:heh! still looking for the challenge huh?

So far you've guessed one correct and AE is it. but what does it matter? Cause as stated before I don't need advice on these apps. NOT ONE! So thank you but no thanks. Now if you would like me to review your movie...Just ask. But you've said what you had to say about my movie. And I've responded, so good luck on your future projects" From one pro to another.

I'm not looking to give you advice and this is a free site so you can post what ever
you feel is appropriate as a review for mine in the thread associated with it. But,
yes I would like to know what programs you used.

Btw, why would I be looking for a challenge? I think that you're reading too much
into what I'm typing. Thanks anyways though...*shrug*

AE, PS , Flash8, Avid, ZBrush and a little beta 3D app a few of my buddys are currently working on. Hope this helps you out buddy. Bye!

and for your info.... It wasn't AE! But I bet you would love for me to tell you.

Christ.

It appears to me that you are mad that he pinpointed what software you used because he could tell you were using generic effects that came with the program.

If Inexistence can tell, I guarantee other people in the biz will be able to.

And they won't be impressed. All he was trying to do was help you and tell you what you could have done to make the effect better and not a pre-canned thing.

Lighten the **** up.

As for you....Please find you own battle to fight. Thanks. Cause used I used AE, But not for what he was mentioning. So thank you. And mind your own poo poo business. Thanks anyways for adding to nothing.

I'm going to get it from a mod for coming back to your thread, dude... but someone PM'd me about the latest response.

Did you use Avid for compositing? Because, I can't see you using Adobe Macromedia Flash 8 for it, nor could I see you doing it with Photoshop. The only valid candidate for the work you did seems to be After Effects.

I thought you made your last post already. You just cant stop tempting me to swing the axe huh? It's cool I'm not bothered by you at all. :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

But If you must know PS for poster work backgrounds and fill in image editing. AE for all the Green screen. Avid for edit & quick cross fades. Oh and also Vegas for scoring and final export. But FX artist know that you use what works for you. so as far as flash8 the blood effects and other little animations + some scripting INCLUDING the intro he thought was AE you may have missed. The beta app & Zbrush for modeling & environment. But No AE was not first choice for my intro, Though I do agree It would have been a lot smoother had I done so. But this was all experimentation for me as well as testing a new app. ALRIGHTY BYE BYE NOW!!!

I can see Flash 8 for the intro. My mistake-- I thought he meant AE for the overall compositing; I missed that. And swinging what AXE, guy? Honestly, everyone here has been peaceful ASIDE from you. Even the people that came to your defense are still peaceful...

And, it's cool that you can admit that he's right about something. To pull something together in Flash like that you need extensive practice. I should've been able to point out the flash work because on the image of your "reigning king" you can see black flecks laying over the background from where you used the Magic Wand on a photo image and didn't clean the rest of it up.

Anyway. I suppose the arguement was too tasty for me to truly leave; yatta. Looks like I need to follow my word a bit tighter, no?

No It was cool what you had to add Bro. I don't mind a debate or two but I just don't feel like debating with people who had nothing to do with it to start. You are the one who I've not said anything wrong to. But for some reason it seems you are trying to make it seem like I'm offending you and thats what it seems you have been doing to me all along. Except for the SH4 thing that was cool with me. Thanks for your input on the situation though. Really

I love the lines: "You better have no girls there or you're fired!"

Actually if he said :'the movie was not so good with its VFX' I think it would be normal, but guessing the tools and having suggestions I too consider it s offense. You can't speak like that if you don't know someone's background. I'm a vfx artist too but don't go over the threads giving instructions and lowering people. Mameragex work on the film is great, considering again the time he spent to accomplish it.

Thanks buddy. I got a flood of supportive PM's and I didn't see this at first and Just wanted to say thanks.:thumbup:

mameragex, one last point I'll make here... we are all peers here. As fx/motion design
goes it's a small world and you don't know who you'll bump into next. What I'm trying
to say is that, skills aside, you're not coming off as a very friendly person here. Anyone
of us could cross paths one day and be working together side-by-side. I think even for
the sake of networking that you show a little respect. Don't burn your bridges down!

For the sake of networking I think you should have thought of that before you posted!

Until you. I've been nothing but nice to all whom come here. So please go belittle someone else. If you consider your bridge burt...So be it. I have nothing against you and do not hate you as a person and nor do I know you. And seeing that you don't know me I'm sure If we met, It would be a different story. Cause I am one of the kindest people I know. But thanks teacher, but the students are in the classroom not the teachers lounge. (Sorry I couldn't help that one:Drogar-Evil(DBG):)

Thanks for your review. Bye:thumbup:

ya see... again... when did I say I considered our bridge burned?
and what's with the extra little jabs? This is getting childish. Sheesh.

Somehow were just not going to connect nomatter what...
so i'll just leave it at that. sorry man

Ok, so back to the reviews...

For me, this was really an excellent VFX demo reel. Man, I'd hire you.

I think you kicked major ass. I mean, at least from what I can tell as a member of the audience. I don't know much about VFX work and such. But I can appreciate what I see.

But as a film, well, it played more like a really cool Super Bowl commercial or a short music video or even a video game trailer/intro. AND NOT IN A BAD WAY. In a very super f*cking cool way.

Good luck with your career. I enjoyed watching your entry.
