want to see the hvx go under water and see a rock god all at once?

wow ... i think this is the best hvx footage i have ever seen editing color contrast sound editing video editing all fantastic man . very very very good . hats off !

now...that was...inspiring. to say the least. I'd like to know your exact setup. Was that raw HVX Footage? Or did you use some adapter? You did, didn't you? ;-)

And how did you create that nice movement in your shots, especially in the close ups with the very shallow DOF? Was that handheld? Would have been difficult with the raw lense and zoomed in very tight, without loosing a certain smoothness.

Would be very pleased if you could give us more information!

Great looking video, although Todd needs to get out more, he's looking a bit pasty. :)

Seriously, that HVX footage is fantastic and the edit is very slick.

GAAAAAHHH its amazing! haha i agree with Cmessineo's comment...that guy's looking pale.

But this video has everything - great song, great camerawork, cinematography and editing, great execution, and most of all, a hot girl, in a bikini no less.

Great job, and definitely reveal the details on how you did it all!

Very nice indeed, personally i'd ditch the vignettes as I think they look to fake. Always use glass not post is my rule on vignettes, especially on moving/panning shots. However most people will not notice good job.

I think is very very good. those images are cinematographic, the directing is tuned with the song, the song rocks. Maybe i dont like the sunset shots, maybe, i still dont know, ill watch the video another time but first impression wow

Great vid.....but it's a perfect example of HVX footage that prominently features those annoying *lines* across the screen whenever there's any movement at all.

And then there's HVX footage that has no lines at all.... so what's the deal?

Is it the codec people are using to export? Codecs such as Raylight, prospect, apple's HD people are using to import?

seriously, what's the deal

Colin,
Great artisitic talent... very nice quality shots... can you give us info on your camera setup?

Thanks for sharing

Excellent, thanks for the feedback - also , this edit is more desaturated then the final.. so he doesnt look as colorless in the final :)

not sure what lines your talking about though.

it was shot on the hvx with ps technik's mini 35 and lit 90% naturally just with sunlight / bounce boards.. also using nikon still photographic lenses.

anyway thanks for positive feedback

Colin

link is still up on your site, i think.

I'll update the thread once it airs so more people can get a shot at seeing it: The link however will prob just stay on the site... untill the final final version is put up.
