Installing a Letus35 Enhanced Flip?

I just got a Letus35 Enhanced Flip - but am confused on how to assemble/connect it to my camera..and moreso, how to use it once its on. Ive always been more of a software oriented person, rather than hardware wise...and I need to ask some embarrassingly dumb questions. I have a Sony VX2100, and a 50mm Canon SLR lens is on its way in the mail.

One side of the Flip is a smooth thread, the other side is a solid ring with pertruding shoulders (bayonete mount?). The smooth threaded side is much too big to fit on the VX2100 (which has a 58mm thread I think?) and the bayonete side is too small. Do I need a step up, or down ring?

Well I guess the first question is - which side is which?

After that, I know the lens will obviously attach to the other side, but how do you properly set up your adapter after that? I read on forums of people saying turn down your aperature on your adapter, open the iris on your camera - pull an ND filter off...all this stuff. I thought I was quite capable before all this research, and now I realize I know nothing. How do you ajust the iris? How do you change anything on Letus35? As it has no buttons or controls of any kind - except one pertruding screw on the bayonete side...how do you control aperature, how do you measure stops of light on the camera? ....I'm in dire need of assistance since it didnt come with any directions.

Moreover, you need to manual focus on the grinded glass, but while its off - or on? Someone else on another forums site explained that you needed to do this "quick motion" of adjustments really fast to make the adapter focus right...so basically I'm confused.

Would it be possible for anyone who has the Letus Flip to write a detailed assembly procedure on how to connect it to a camera, and how to set it up properly for shooting? Any assistance in this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.

Did it come with instructions? Is there no support from the maker? I'm thinking about buying one so it would be good to know.
