Why did you enter Horrorfest?

I entered Horrorfest because I really need to work on the documentary that I shot in July. :)

I entered because it was a great opportunity to go out and make a movie, especially with the DVX-100b that we just bought :D

I've talked about making films for years. I never had a camera capable of doing so and I have always been busy in my career as an independant artist.

But once I got my dvx and I got on this site and learned how to use my camera... I LEAPED at the fest!!!

I thought, this is it! I'm always talking about it. Here's your chance... GO OUT AND DO IT!!!

That's why.

My band was touring from DC to Las Vegas to play at the Rollercon 2006 (Roller derby convention) and I wanted to shoot a documentary of what happened along the way as well as what was going on in the local music scenes of the cities where we had shows.

I did a lot of research on cameras (because I'm like that). My final choice came down to DVX vs. Canon (huh? who couldn't have seen that coming). And, by trolling this site for weeks (oh! I'm so ashamed) I was totally convinced that the DVX was the camera for me. So, I made the plunge and bought the camera.

I filmed a couple of our shows prior to setting out. Studied Barry Green's book. Asked dvxuser.com members for advice and tips. And then went out on the road with my band filming and interviewing along the way.

Anyway, although it is true that I haven't worked on the documentary, I think that I did Horrorfest because that's what dvxuser.com members do. Have fun and create (and worship the prince of darkness right MOVIE MASTER)!

Oh, and learn a lot about Vegas.

I hope I can make 100 posts so that I can vote

Heres another op. to make another post.

Plus you get to see reactions from everyone who views not like other filmfest where you send in your flik and never hear what people think.

All right. All right.

I did it for the same reason that I'm in a punk rock band.

For the money!

hahahahahaha

Well that'll be pretty cool.

I fell off the toilet and when I woke up, I drew... THE FLUX CAPACITOR!

but seriously. the only way to learn is to do it over and over until you stop making the same mistakes, and the new ones are called art.
