The perfect HD on camera monitor for the HVX200?

It seems to me that this would be the proper cable, having male ends, and it is a little cheaper $39.00 http://www.dvdcity.com/video/sw-media-vga-rca.html

Can anyone confirm if the above cable is the correct one

I ordered the VD-Z3 at: http://www.vdigi.com/index.php?option=content&task=blogcategory&id=67&Itemid=28

I gave in and got the Marshall...no regrets there.
LOL i'm ordering the marshall myself. It works with the transcoders, but its too much of a head ache. Wires/powering/and inconsistent color results with the monitor due to the transcoder is annoying. I guess i'll put the xenarc in my dash.

any updates on this setup ?

I have to agree with Barry...the Marshall is not as nice as I had hoped. It's certainly better than the onboard LCD, but I still found myself hitting the focus assist a lot because of the downrezzing issues. It just doesn't do a great job scaling the image and the sharpness suffers as a result.

I'll be using the Marshall for a shoot coming up at the end of next week, so I'll gte some hands on experience with it- but if it doesn't display the full pixel range - downresing - how can you trust it for focusing? Has everyone been satisified with the focusing abilities using it? Or are people still using the focus assist to double check? I would love to know more- as I'd rather not plunk down 1300 to findout that I should have just saved and gone with the Panasonic monitor ....

Also, has anyone done a side by side yet? I would love to hear how they compare- all I'm looking for is an external monitor to focus with ......

Once you go Marshall, you'll never go back. I consider it an essential accessory like the mattebox for filters. If it was able to display zebra, you would not even need the internal lcd. You can focus great on the marshall!

Has anybody any experience of using the NebTek NEB58 5.8" monitor. 16:9, 800x280, 400NIT brightness, flip switch, top and bottom mounts.
The pro version has BNC connectors, and can take a Panasonic battery too.

$900 or £460

Sounds good to me.

What about CRT? Any recommendations on a 9" portable CRT (like the sony PVM series) for around $1000 ? apparantly the PVM9 can take component in - is this a good thing HD on a 600 line SD monitor? i'm confused.

Nebtel says they will be coming out with a monitor very similar to the Marshall in a few months (don't know how soon - don't ask) that will add "Peaking" to help with focus. I couldn't wait & just got a Marshall. its very nice.

Just get the marshall...you'll wonder why you did'nt in the first place.

Can anyone provide the model number or description of the Marshall LCD monitor mentioned here? I want to make sure I'm evaluating the correct one.

Thanks... garyt903

That's the monitor alright- but I've found it cheaper at places like:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...s&Q=&sku=391161&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

http://www.dvcreators.net/lcd-monitors/

Similar Monitor to the Marshal:
http://www.varizoom.com/products/monitors/s1080bs.html

But then again these places do not offer the modification that Nebtek does, so if you want / need the mod- then get it from them.
