Using a HVX200 & FCP to Preview on HD Monitor

Hi Guys and Gals!

Quick question.

I have a Mac Pro tower with stock video cards, FCP 5.1.2, an HVX 200 and a Panasonic 1700 monitor. Anyone know if there is a way to preview the 720 24p HD timeline on the 1700 via a firewiare cable, the HVX and the camera's comp (or even s video) out?

I have done this in the past with FCP and cheaper cameras like a Canon z90 and even withthe DVX. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can preview via firewire in to s-video, but not via firewire in and HD component out.

If you want a live HD preview you'll need something like a Kona card for that.
