Hey, I am shooting a short on my DVX, but would really like to shoot the intro on an old 8mm film camera.

Does anybody have one that I can buy, rent, use?

cheers,

One can mix small format film and DV to great effect. Here is a link to a feature development project from a few months back. It incorporates a Super8 intro and HDV (not my favorite format) in what I feel is pretty good use.

This is just a few scenes from a feature length project, but it works to give a good sense of the eventual feature. The film footage goes a really long way toward setting the tone of the short and gives a glimpse of how the feature will play out. Without out it, I think this would have been much less effective.

ill sell you my old keystone. I did the same thing as you, filmed an intro to a film of mine and then its been sitting on my shelf since. PM me if you want?

I have a Canon 814 Auto Zoom Electronic and 2 Kodak ektachrome 64t cartridges I'd be willing to part with. One of the rolls has about 10 sec shot and one is brand new in box. I actually made a custom bayonet mount for it so that it fits Sony VX-1000 lens accessories.

I have pics if desired and a few clips captured.

Will sell for $230 shipped.

Also, I have a Sankyo sound projector that is in amazing condition. I use it to capture the super8 to video. Would do $120 shipped added on to the camera price.

PM me or email me at ryan@dfwskateboards.com if you are interested.
