CarMount Test

just curious about the clear filter on the lense for car mounts... do you think that it would be enough to stop a pebble especially at highway speeds? and would two do the job possibly? i know the odds of a direct hit are low but....
i'm about to do some car mount stuff and i'm starting to get scared after seeing that footage lol and i didnt even consider the pebbles and the rocks flying my way
 
Haha Well you you always NOT do it. There is a risk, but the risk is Worth it. I would think based on the circumference of the lenes, it would take a lot to go through it. There is no guarantee.I was praying the whole time. TRUST ME. But I did a 8 min drive with it that low, and you dont see anything remotely pop up. Until that is I went uproading a little, Which come to find out, P2 FULL hahah forgot to tell ya'll that one . What kind of CarMount do you have?
 
just the sticky pod kit. it's supposed to be able to hold the dvx (no hvx yet, but if everyone prays for me i think it will be soon:dankk2: )
i have a couple of camcorders that i'll use and see if i can get away with some color correction.
you have a much better mount kit than me and now i'm:undecided scared
 
OH MAN.. I WILL BE... I would not trust the stcky pod UNLESS I used this set up. OH I should add, I AINT paying 600+ dollars for that either. Tom doesnt live far from me, and we have talked a a couple occasions. So I am not ragging on him, and he is a cool guy and his stuff works they work, except the price :)

Dang, that was close! I thought it was on purpose at first. Would've been a cool shot if you were driving/tracking with a car and it swung over like that to the subject.

LOL Johnny, the settings like I haev stated a couple times in this thread. Are in the pic. So I dont have to write my Settings, I always take a quick pic of my LCD. Also that way I can put up the pic, instead of tying on here as well :)

thanks for the compliments. Anyone who posts footy on here, is amazed on how many people view without getting any feedback. I actuall think I comment on every footage that get thrown up. I think it is respectful since I am d-loading their stuff :) Again thanks. Also start taking pics of your LCD, so I can See your settings :)
 
I think I am going to shoot in 1080/30p later. I would love to see some other carmount footage, and maybe get some more feedback on this video.
 
When did you get the mount? I ordered one just like it from NuAngle a couple of months ago and haven't heard a word form them. No mount, no returned emails, nothing. The PayPal transfer sure went through. The phone number listed on their site is no good. If I hadn't already done business with them before, I would think they were a total scam. But, my patience has about run out.
 
I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. I got mine a little over a year ago. I was going to be working on some Design work for them. But anyways. sorray again, and good luck. Let me know when you get yours.
 
oh, And for the people that have the Car mount from nuangle already. I have tons of accessories and strapping for them.
The extension arm as well.
