A grab from a short I'm shooting

Huh, by some reason I can't open it full size, because then DVXUser wants me to log in, and when I click proceed after the log in, it only directs me back to the login screen. :(

edit: it works now. :)

What the heck did you do to it? It looks great!

I disagree on all counts. Simply great stuff, good CC, actor looks good.

So you wouldn't be able to CC it that way without doing it frame-by-frame? I can't get the sky darker without crushing my actor too...

is that stock DVX or are you using an adapter for those recent grabs? They look a bit soft (in a good way) and have pretty nice DOF.

All stock DVX. They are barely corrected, I'll see what it looks like with some more contrast.

Here is what the DVD will look like so far. I'm going to change the images on the back as I get some more shots done, but I just need some feedback on it now.

It's in Norwegian, I know, but I don't really think I'm going to sell it anywhere overseas.

(and of course, DVXUsers will get a free download :) )

if you have PPRO or AE you can load in alot your phototshop filtersto perform the corrections on the video in realtime on the timeline, but the levels, and other standard image filters in either of those apps are nearly identical to the ones in PS as far as functionality anyway. i would assume that any other editors would be as well

I only have Vegas, so I'll figure something out on the CC. At least I'm pretty satisfied with the footage so far.

Well, not really a large scale DVD release, I'm just going to sell it to some friends. I just need the money to buy new audio equipment. But of course, if anyone is interested in the DVD, shout it out loud. :D

the problem with doing this is if you notice some of the outdoor shots where the backround and sky are blown out, the auto focus will pull towards those things, and might jump back and forth between the character and something that is slightly brighter especially when the bright areas take up most of the frame

i would love to know what youin camera settings are. you have some GREAt shots with really nice exposure. again, as stated, a bounce board could have greatly helped in some of these shots, but the ylook very good.

did you shoot squeeze mode and crop?

i would also raise your in camera pedestal and crush blacks in post, looks a little too heavy contrast even in sections where it looks flat, if you did it in post you would have more flexibility, crushing those blacks without over contrasting them.

See, I was using a quite high master ped, but all the grabs are color corrected, and I've crused the blacks a bit. It's all shot in 4:3.
