Fear = a basic emotional sensation and response system ("feeling") initiated by an aversion to some perceived risk or threat.
Fear also can be described as a feeling of extreme dislike towards certain conditions, objects, people, or situations such as: fear of darkness, fear of ghosts, etc. Personal fear varies extremely in degree from mild caution to extreme phobia and paranoia. Fears may be a factor within a larger social network, wherin personal fears are synergetically compounded as mass hysteria. it also triggers adrenaline and can loose your soul if you watch

Thought I'd wander into the HorrorFest territory to see what all you guys were up to, and tripped across this thread that's rec'd a LOT of attention. Made it all the way through the first 20 pages, but QUICKLY lost interest after seeing the grabs that were promised & finally delivered at midnight, "Hell Zone" time.

I'm probably just a pansie, but if I've got some dude swearing I'll lose my sould for watching their film, well ... good enough reason for me right there NOT to watch it!

That, and the grabs just didn't grab me.

Oh, but HERE'S a question ... since post numbers aren't showing for anyone now, how do folks know if they've got enough posts to vote for a film or not?

its still in your personal profile page ... you have 2463 posts for example ... so if someone wants to know if they have enough posts to vote, they just need to look at their own page.

Brandon, remember those are straight out of the camera, no cc or post. :)

uh yeah... my grabs (shot very flat for post work) look better than that... the comps don't even work. lol. This thread cracks me up.

REMEMBER MOST INPORTANT THING IS STORY!
EVEN IF YOU HAVE CRAPPY LIGHTING, BUT HAVE GOOD EDITING SKILLS AND A GOOD STORY THEN YOU GOT IT MADE

Sorry, I don't think that floats around here. When you got a bunch of tech/camera geeks as peers judging your work, if the picture blows (visually), then you're not going to be looking to place well, IMO.

True, true... I still think story counts a lot... but yeah, as Envision said, if your visual BLOW! Then, you got no shot... sorry... I hope you can do some amazing CC work.

Eh, I think the DVX tends to look pretty flat until it's CC'd, etc ... so nothing here tells me it wasn't, though I'm no expert that's for sure.

I'm not sure if the bottom one's squeezed, or if it looks skinny because the other one is stretched?
