Spider brace for HVX and other systems

Hiya,

I'm literally waiting for my PAL HVX to arrive.

I've kitted it out so far with 1x4GB P2 card, Manfroto Fluid head tripod, Flight case, Sennheiser radio pin tie mic kit and I'm looking for a hand held support system.

I've seen the Spider brace and some other two handed shoulder support systems.

Anyone have good/bad experiences with the Spider or other makes.

What's the census on sub £200 ($350 US) two handed supports?

Thanks,

MajorM.

Thanks David.

I've been looking into different threads on the subject and was hoping to find some new feedback.

Very valid though, I could have searched a bit deeper through the threads.

Thanks dude.

Kindest regards,
Richard M.

I HATE my Spiderbrace. too short, arms are too short to properly mount a remote focuser and our left arm had to be glued to keep it in place. As well, it is just not quite the right fit for the camera. I'm on to the DVRig Pro next shoot.

i love my spiderbrace i put wheels and tripod plates on top and bottom so my cam never has to leave the brace wheather its on my shoulder or tripod the cam and brace are one single unit.

Thanks Guys.

I think the census is good on Spiderbrace for its cost [which I'm on a budget for now].

Anyone in the UK got one to sell? : )

Thanks again!

I literally ordered mine yesterday after seeing what everyone's been posting. I can't wait

Hopefully the UK Customs and Exise team will be kind and not hit me too much for import tax but lets see.

It looks like it'll do exactly what I want and more.

I just recieved mine... haven't used it on a proper shoot yet but from first impressions/tests is works quite well.
