DV Rack Image Quality as a Monitor

Hi,

For those of you using the new HD version of DV Rack, are you pleased with the image quality of the monitor? In general, how does it handle tonality, color and detail? Do the highlights blow out more that what is recorded? And how is the shadow detail?

I'm wondering would the Panasonic 17" LCD HD monitor be a better for visual evaluation of the image?

I can't answer for DV Rack, but the Panny is a gem!
Do it if you can (even though it doesn't support 1080 natively)

Well is that not the point of these programs, to use a supported monitor, Such as, my (2) 23" Cinema displays? I just d-loaded the demo of DV Monitor, but I guess it DOESNT support HD. Duh I should have guessed from the name. DV monitor.. When it does move over, I am sure it will be called "HD Monitor". But I would rather dump my money into a 17" MacBook Pro, and take my 23" Cinema Display with my to the set.
