P2 Prices in Tokyo, Singapore?

[pjletofsky]

I'll be traveling to Tokyo, Singapore and Bangkok, and was wondering if anyone had insights into prices on P2 cards (and other electronics). Would they be any cheaper?.....

The average price in Tokyo is around 73,500 yen, or $626.

haven't seen them in Bangkok at all, not sure about Singapore.

[Sumfun]

Is that for 4GB or 8GB?

[d-mac]

4GB.

8GB are 173,250 yen, or $1,476

not sure why they're so much more expensive than the U.S. They were cheaper when they came out, and the camera itself is still around $1000 cheaper than in the U.S. ($4,300 in Japan vs. $5,300 in the U.S.)
