Hey, I made a three part short film shot on the hvx for a contest called theproject.tv. The footage was shot at 720p 24 fps, however, it's compressed to 12mb using flash 8.

The grand prize of this contest is 12,500. However, the contest is judged by unlimited online voting. So I desperately need online votes!

Go to the website checkout the first and Second episode of the The Layman has moved on to round two. However, only ten videos move on to the third round. So check out the The film and if you like bookmark the site and vote for “The Layman: Episode 3” whenever you are bored.

You know, a college library probably isn't the best place to watch this mini-series, so I watched it on mute and still ended up laughing, especially on the pizza guy part. You've got a lot of talent there, man.

So how did you film the shorts? The lighting was pretty darn pro-looking :), did you by any chance use any filters? Because everything looked really natural, especially the outdoors scenes, did you only film on certain parts of the day? Or is this all thanks to the HVX200?

Well, the second episode is clearly the winner. The acting leaves a little to be desired, and I'd go with a longer lens (more zoom) for some of those close-ups. But not bad. The image looks fantastic. What did you use to compress the video? I'd love to know your settings were.
