LOL!

so then, I suppose panasonic be the one getting hammered? you carrying the stick?

a firmware update would offer panny no financial reward. my guess is, if it will listen, they'll put in the next version of HVX200.
Perhaps, if it were a firmware update, and Panasonic was willing to do it, a PAID firmware update might be the answer, since it would be a somewhat limited requirement.

I dont think putting it in a new version of the HVX200 would be financially beneficial either. By then people will have decided which way they want to go with their camera, and the decision is easy anyways. Putting it in a new version and not a firm ware upgrade would just piss all of us off

There are several workarounds to the image flip, heck, everyone was using the magnet trick for a while but that seems to have died down (I missed it, what happened?). I was surprised by Panasonic not including the feature and/or immediately releasing a firmware update to correct it, that just doesn't sound like them. But in any case, this shouldn't discredit the HVX200, which is an incredible achievment on its own thanks to the emphasis on a tapeless workflow.

But look at JVC, it took them a revision to include the function. Plus, if Panasonic were to release an HVX200A, I'm very sure that they would make it much more than an "HVX200 + Image flip". I have a feeling we'll be hearing some big news by next NAB.

Yeah, but how good is the Letus35 optically? There are some aberrations in their demo footage online. Does anyone in the forum have footage they can show?
