dvx+letus35 short film www.TURKEYDAYMOVIE.com

hey, it looks good. did you use the letus 35 with a anamorphic adapter also? the footages look pretty good.

no anmorphic, just shot squeezed on the dvx....so yea we lost resolution but I couldnt bare to shoot 4:3. Thanks for the feedback should have the film up tonight

looks quite interesting with actually good acting. lol

however the vignetting is not nice imho

I think my time with the DVX is done bro but your movie really interested me, It felt very Wes Anderson-ish. I like the choice of music but honestly didn't like the character with glasses, too Napoleon D.

Keep up the good work!
G.

Hey it looks pretty good, but just a quick question - did you cc it? Because some of the colors look a bit washed out...

I'm just getting a white screen...

EDIT... works now... looks great! Wondering, what lens did you use for those MCU of the actors? Looks a little fish-eye to me, but I love it

Ok im going to try to go thorugh this and address all the questions and comments

The vingetting was not planned but is a result of the letus and not zooming way into. I personally like the vingetting though and we decided to keep the look, also kept the lenses alot wider....we had a 20mm wideangle and I didnt want to zoom in any farther.

Yes, Color Correction was done, The contrast was kept pretty mellow on purpose, if it looks actually washed out your display is probably off, I used a calibrated field moniter for the cc and it looked pretty good on their.

I can assure you Brian, thats the charector with classes, has no roots in napoleon dynamite. He may look similar, which I think was a big mistake...it was not intentinal and we didnt even think about it but your not the first person to tell me they look similar, but wait till you see the whole film...very diffrent charectors

Haha, theose exteriors...man. We had pretty much every light we had out for those shots....I had 2 arri 1ks 2 arri 650s and bunch of lowel tottas and omnis, and a set of peppers (peppers werent used). It was a super tough setup but probably...atleast in my opinon the best shots. Honestly I didnt do a great job inside the place....we had a very tight schedule and were working super fast.

The wideangle was a 20mm Nikkor lens. The curvature is do to the adapter im all most sure....because that lens is rectilinear and lines should stay straight.

thanks for the input, Ill let you guys know when we get the film up should be soon

Wow. Good job. not to be a brick, but I dislike 92% of all trailers i see on
this site, but I liked that one. seem to have touch of real, with decent acting.

nice one
