Blackhawk Music Video "Who's Gonna Rock" first look

Haha it was pretty funny. It looked great as well! My only comment is that the fast paced party didnt really matched the relatively slow pace of the song and style of music. Other than that it was entertaining - and thats the most important thing! :D

the "extras" were a nice touch

cant really give any other feedback, cuz I'm sure this was the exact kind of video a band like that would want.... so in that regard, good job

looked nice.. I agree, more of a RAP tone for a country video.. I needed more pickup trucks and line dancing.. the girl in the arch way sure aint dancing to this song... lol

Nice job, nice lighting, did you have a JIB?

pro.

it would have been nice to see a mandolin playing that mandolin intro instead of a guitar...

also, the audio quality was awful. that song is really lacking the energy that this video has. it sounds like bad drum samples and bad bass samples. maybe it's just the compression, but i'd recommend they re-record this track so the quality is at least close to the quality of the video.

The audio problem may be the compression I'm using, which is a low setting. The song definitely sounds a bit "out of the box", but a lot of these type songs usually do well. There is nothing special about it, but it sure does stick in head. If I hear "Momma who's gonna rock ya" one more time I'm gonna get sick!

Funny bro. I'd say the same thing.. your video is nicer than the song... and what a collection of women. Where did they wrestle them up from? I agree with the other Justin.. that chick in the arch is dancing to some 50 cent or some crap..

Very nice look though. Could you discuss how you shot it and all that fantastic geeky tech stuff..

gotta love the girl in the arch!!! The dancers, including "arch girl", are from a dance school in Nashville. They do a lot of hip hop dancing and the guy who did the choreography is actually their hip hop instructor. So it seems apparent that their urban side came out in this video. :)

All the other girls came from modeling agencies from across the East Coast. (Atlanta, Louisville, Indianapolis, Philly, Nashville, etc.)

Nothing too fancy to discuss with the production. Shot it at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville. It was a HECTIC day, starting at 4am and ending around midnight...yes, we shot it all in one day! Had 2 HVX cameras, cobra crane, dolly and a lot of lights! In post, I used FCP, a lot of film clutter and threw the CC and Bullit to it.

Anyone looking for a Barney Fief look-a-like, this guy was great!
