Commercial shot against green screen

"Noa. Noa." I'm going to have that in my head all day now. "Noa. Noa."

Everyone looked like they brush their teeth with Snickers bars other than the eldery woman.

Noa. Noa.

Spartacus...

Thanks. The green screen came from eefx.com. I think it made a substantial difference in the keying process. Other tests done with another fabric wasn't nearly as good. This was shot in 1080p30 for maximum detail, and eventually down-converted to SD in 4:3 aspect.

Shamrock...

For the grand prize: what was the name of the store? :-)

Looks, good, but you did not seem to use the tracker markers (not that it mattered)

The initial plan was to use them but I decided it wasn't necessary. There was so much movement in the background that it would only have added to the confusion.

However, I did test it and it worked well enough -- Post-It notes have more than a few uses!

I´ve been thinking about getting one of these for some time, thanks for the real world insight!

Noa. Noa!

I guess I'm not used to seeing or hearing that type of store name in North America.

What size of backdrop is that?

It's a 10' x 20' but I'm only using 10 feet of it for this job. There's another job coming up where I'm going to use the full length of it.

Nice job. I love the postit markers. i will steal the idea, sorry. Did you track with AE?

At first I was going to use styrofoam balls and pin them in place. But I found out the Post-It notes stayed put quite nicely. And, yes, the tracking test was done with AE.

All the shots were slowed down to half speed with AE, too. I could have shot in 720p60 and used FCP's frame rate converter, but hadn't done any keying tests in 720p mode. Ensuring good edges were important, so I stuck with what I knew and shot in 1080p30.

It's supposed to be a Hawaiian name but I'm not sure what this means.

... And we don't have a lot of stores with names quite like that, either. :-) In fact, if you go to some of the malls here, they look like a lot of the malls everywhere else with some of the same small boutique shops. It's a bit sad, seeing the homogenization of America. Probably makes it tough to shop for souvenirs, too.
