The Ash - Short Horror Trailer

This was actually going to be my attempt for the horror fest as a few of my friends had been talking about shooting a horror movie while up at this family camp I go to, lair of the bear. We told a few more people and we went at it.

The only thing is about midway through we realized it was way too much for the week we had and decided to just cut a trailer. I just finished up the last of the editing today and figured I'd post it. Check it out.

It looked nice. But I could totally tell that when they were talking in the car, they weren't moving. And truth be told, the rocking of the car is what made me notice. It might work better if you shot against a clear blue sky or something. Then the viewer would have a tougher time telling the car wasn't moving.

What kind of lighting did you use on the night shots? Looked really good.

Haha, the lighting was pretty interesting. I didn't bring up any real equipment except camera/mic, but I had a big (flourescent?) lantern that we had been using just to see. We had someone follow to the side of me holding it up to their face as our only source of light. It was a bit grainy, but it did the job.
