Music Video + HVX

I was just curious if anyone had any helpful leads or suggestions I could follow as far as distribution of this music video?

They are an unsigned band, which makes it quite hard to market to TV or even Internet music video streaming sites.

I've tried a couple of avenues with little success. Mainly because they have it worked out with record labels to air their content (by some form of payment or "payola").

I really just want to help bring the band success and would hate to not at least try to get them a lot of exposure.

Any thoughts?
 
I don't know how to get them seen but I just watched the video and it ROCKS! It made me get all emotional at the start! WOW!
 
First of all - geat job on the video man, you really got the balance between technical ability and good content to compliment the music....like a lot of others have already said, It should be broadcast!

Doing it all in 2 days is impressive as well - Ive recently finished a music video shoot here in the UK with a band on mini dv, and t took 2 of us a weekend and 3 XL2s to get it done - and we ended up trawling through 9 tapes worth of footage! Can you tell me what your workflow was like on your shoot? Im assuming you used just the one camera...how many takes did it take you - especially for the band in the warehouse shots? You said you used P2 - how many cards? Did you have a laptop or P2 Store on set to transfer the footage as you went?
 
YouTube...Google Video...
Upload them there and then start a viral marketing campaign. Email the links to friends and forums like this...ask them to send them around...ask them to rate it on those sites, etc.

While the music isn't my cup of tea. The song should do well and the video is great. I really liked it. As mentioned, just try and get this out there as much as possible, use sites like youtube and myspace to advertise for the band and yourself.

**URGENT UPDATE**
There is a television broadcasting company that is interested in licensing my video!!
I really don't know how this works exactly or how much I should expect to get. What's a good deal/bad deal? Any advice?!? They are calling back tomorrow.
