New 35 PICS

The first two SG's were from my defective adapter (ifocus with the two hoya +10), as you can see the grain and smearing is kinda of bad.

"Ya got the ring light as well, so nice!!"

Yes I do, I made this about a year ago and is worth every penny I spent to make it!!

"Hows that follow focus holding up?"

The FF is awesome, and is very smooth. However the cosmetics of the FF is not too bad looking, but it definitely needs to be fixed.

Thanks guys, the editing is almost done. I'm still finishing up a few things, I'll be posting it soon.

Holy hooligans! Take off the asian macros mate! You're killing you're image. Seriously. Get some achromats. They're not that expensive and they do loads for your image quality.

Always the best with you DVX guys... So I should get a Marshall monitor too, right? I am perfectly happy with my current setup, at least for now. ;) But thanks for the advice, right now I don´t have the cash for a better setup.

EDIT: I can get you some footage moe, after I have gotten the hang of this darn thing. Still, it is very easy to setup. Just need some tweaking of the cams focus onto the focus screen.

No, I'm a budget minded person myself. I'm not suggesting you go by a $200 Century Optics achromat. I'm just saying there are other good sources for quality achromats that cost the same as those macros. But alas, it is built, now go use it. :D And show us some footage.

I am still experimenting with the adapter. Just found out that my little camera does not want to focus properly if I zoom in to get rid of the vignetting. Didn´t notice it until today because I kinda like the vignetting it produces.

No there's no hot spot, it's that you're not zooming in enough for the back focus.

Actually, if he's zooming in to get past the vignetting then he's probably zooming too FAR for the backfocus. Just a thought.

I understand what you're saying, but he's not in far enough to begin with, (set the zoom, then set the MF). I have a camera that's very similar to one he's using and works fine with no hot spot or vignetting. I'm actually waiting on another ring to use mine for a shoot in a underwater housing.

Fair enough. Sorry, not trying to bag on the adapter. This is actually the design that helped me understand the whole concept and got me to build my adapter. So cheers to the improvements! :D

No problem, just a big misunderstanding. :) I've actually been working on a few new different designs, but yes I've upgraded my current adapter (HQ SD ifocus) with a CO, and yes the image is Beautiful. :) He was aware of the asian macros and how they can effect your image. I guess it's kind of like buying a car, you can get the fully loaded version or the stock version.

How do you mount a 35mm lense to the spacer tube

How do you mount a 35mm lense to the spacer tube

I have been studying how to make 35mm adapters for about a month now, i really like the design and the results that the ifocus gives and i wanna build my own version of it, i have gone with nikon lenses and am using a nikkor f 1.4, my only question is how do you get an f mount to stay on a 55 mm spacer tube. To clarify - Is there some magical 55mm to f mount that i just can't find or is there a little bit more to it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated I have all my materials except for the lense mount and I don't want to buy one unless i know it's going to work. By the way i'm using 55mm spacer tube if anyone didn't catch that.

THANKS A BUNCH
