New Music Video Shot On Letus 35

Raddrew,
I use the letus35a as well. Could you tell me how far you are zooming in cam and if you set your camera to f95 for best possible focus. I have some issues keeping things in focus clear which you seem to be doing a better job at. Thanks!

Edit:
Do you seem to get more shallow depth the more you zoom in making it hard to keep things in focus? Sorry about all the questions.

when i shot with the letus, i had my zoom at 85 and my focus at 82
Thanks for replying. I'll try those settings tonight to see if the focus is better.

Looks good, but the line "start the car" was a little cheesy. I'm really feeling the car, and the look.

Nice job!

There are two different versions of the letus, they both focus differently. I personally have the 35a as well, and my settings are Z72 MF8.

It's funny. My settings at Z72 still shows the frame. I'm trying to get my camera to go to MF8 unless you meant MF80?

Edit:
Maybe it also has to do with the lens you're using. Mine is an fd 50mm 1.4 lens. Best results so far for me are at MF95.

How can you fill frame with just z58? That's insane. Mine would show the rectangle for sure. Do you have the letus35a?

i screwed up my letusa35, there was a speck in the ground glass .. had to open it up. bt yea, i fill my frame at z58-60 and have MF08

The lens that you are using should not change your focus on the camera. The camera is focusing on the vibrating GG, so no matter the lens the backfocus of that lens will always be on the Ground Glass as well. Since the Letus is hand made, it really doesn't surprise me that each camera focuses slightly different.

Great video, I like the camera work, storyline etc. (Maybe a little blown out on the highlights tho)
I am wondering about your capture. Did you shoot in 24pa or 24pn? Did you use 2:3:3:2 pulldown removal? I can see the interlaced split frames every fifth frame in the early man running to car shot as well as the band shots. However some of the sequence shows 2 split frames in a row, such as the man jumping into car shot.

The reason why I ask is that I'm having some similar issues with some 24pn footage that I shot (I meant to shoot 24pa, but somehow the setting was changed during the shoot). 24pn footage has 2 split frames while 24pa has one, I can't get the 24pn footage to de-interlace.

to shoot this style was a great choice, especially with the letus. I have a letus
as well. this style kinda allows and gives permission to the camera operator to
pull things in and out of focus. which is nice, because with a 35mm adapter its hard
to keep moving things in focus .

great job. one of my favorite videos i've seen. Also enjoyed numb

editing was a little too fast for me i guess but it looked really cool

when you just pauze the video some of the shots look so good.

love what ya doing rad.
would like to hear some answers to some of the above questions, settings maybe and frame rate?
awsome. saw numb some time ago and liked that too. your work is grunge i like it.

peace son
