David, in response to your long, "intelligent", mind opening post, I'll just ask the same question I asked in my first post.

What happens when a family member who's relative died in the attack see's you running around dressed up like that, and breaks down sobbing in front of you? Wouldn't you feel bad?

That's the real question, here. It's not about our sheltered country (and I agree that it is sheltered), it's not about a humerous skit (which it is not, to me), and it's not about offending people. I could care less if it was a skit which offended poeple... I was simply stating that it could really hurt someone who's trying to cope with a loss. If it did indeed hurt just one person, was it worth it? To me, no.

To you? maybe... but that's just inconsiderate, not open minded or provocative.


One of my closest friends' father was murdered while we were in high school. I have absolutely no desire to dress up as his murderer for halloween this year. Why would I? Why would anyone? Because some people might find it funny? I don't think so.

I live in New York and was here during 9/11. It appears there are two reasons for defensive responses to my clip. Some people feel it is disrespectful to those affected by 9/11. Then there are others who take offense to what is to them an egregious parody of a bad guy who is Muslim. Well he is a bad guy, no? What about all the other generic Halloween getups such as OJ, Saddam etc? These are murderers as well. As Yas observed in the previous post, if he can piss on Bush why can't we piss on him?
It is unfortunate that people are so sensitive in America, every joke which is not self-depricating always in danger of being attacked as racist, bigoted, elitist, xenophobic. New York fortunately is an ecclectic metropolis, and although I was warned by friends that my spectacle may be received with hostility, I was never nervous about it for a moment. I suppose I had an intrinsic faith in New Yorkers. And----it was Halloween!!!!!! I was greeted with nothing but cheers and mobs of spectators stopping to take pictures with me. Whites, Blacks, Muslims, tourists---all appreciated my display: a terrorist fleeing from vengeful victims of his barbarity. Which was the joke. There were actually more scandalous moments not caught on tape--I ran out--such as one where an agreeable Jesus and myself exchanging simulated fellatio on each other in the middle of the fenced off parade on 5th Ave (or Chistopher St I can't remember), and another where I crept up behind police officers as onlookers howled with glee.

But if the video is an attack on someone who doesn't promote "true" Islamic virtues (like I've heard a few Arabs say), then why are you offended?

My friend from Texas, whether you believe me or not, there are more relatives and loved of victims of 9/11 in NY than in Dallas. I was seen by thousands and thousands of people here (when I was at the parade) without as much as a frown out of them. Isn't Halloween about poking fun? I was poking fun at Osama and the fruitless search for him. How am I debasing his victims? If someone dresses up as Bush would all those affected by Katrina be as distressed? The very President of their country who has done so little to help them?
If an individual is not entertained by my clip, that's totally cool. I gladly provide my comments to other clips, whether + or –.
Sometimes we need to relax, have a glass of wine, a light drug of choice, or increase the frequency of masturbation. Does Dave Chapelle make you bristle and indignantly raise your fist to the skies? Hasn't he done offensive work? The sketch where he is a blind Black White Supremist? That could have emotionally wounded a number of racial groups but it didn't. Because viewers appreciated the joke, whether Black or White.

Wow, comedy doesn't rule the DVX world? I laughed all the way through and love humour that lightens people up. It seems to be a matter of taste. Any of you dig a movie then recommend it only to have them hate it?
I hated Pulp Fiction cause it was gross to me. I wont get political here but Osama ain't the one I worry about so maybe that's why I laughed at the skit?

btw...where was the nipple at?:)

i can tolerate racist expressions when the person is trying to make a point or has some kind of purpose, like venting or something, i can let that slide because it's based in frustration and misguided anger, but this was just stupid and very pointless. you looked nothing like osama and were mocking a entire peoples religion with your dumba** prostrating just for kicks. btw i'm not muslim. i was raised a christian, my dad's a minister but i personally think the concept of god is archaic. however i think there is a real movement of gross ignorance and gorss arrogance in this country and crap like this is a damn fine example...thanx for sharing

What I thought about the original post here was that Osama looked like an idiot. That made me laugh cause he was a buffoon that was wandering like he really couldn't be caught or seen. Dude, you're Osama and we can see you .....right there.....walking in New York! Then we wouldn't have to get our own soldiers killed looking in caves. We could have a mob of Roller derby chicks beat him to death with their skates. Irony of him hiding in the middle of those he hurt most.
Revenge would be theirs.
