NEXT LA DVXUser meeting Sat. 9/16 3PM!

Hey I've sent an e-mail in already.... but just asking, what exactly is the schedule like for this meeting and how long will it last until?

Well, the last one lasted a while. First, there was the ice breaker with cocktails and then the dancing girls showed up. Then, since there was a lady at the meeting, we had to have a dancing guy as well.

This was followed by, well I don't really know what followed because I think I was slipped a Roofie. When I woke up most of us were in jail and I had "AZA" tatooed on my ass. Anyway, most of us made bail and the judge and police later admitted that there was a mistake and that in fact we were not making the kind of movies which the San Fernando Valley is most famous for, but the police said they have never seen that many cameras and people swinging from chandeliers without it being "that kind of movie."

I'm not certain as to the schedule for the next meeting. All I remember is that somebody said that they were going to bring a goat.

God knows what we'll be charged with this time.

Bring bail money.

Well. I won't be able to make it. I am shooting my horrorfest film this day :( Have a great time though guys! And Blaine, could you be the one to remind Jarred about it?
 
Thanks man! And I WILL be at the next meeting! For sure... it's just this shoot came up and that's the only time I can do it, and make the deadline.

I think Blaine is supposed to remind me to remind you to remind Jarred. Now I'm reminding concannon, so I'm going to need somebody to remind me to do that. Now I forgot what I was doing on the internet... oh yea, order that 72mm achromat.

Well, this works out okay for me. I ordered the 72mm achromat so that I could introduce the Snod35 to ruester's HVX. I don't think it will be here by this Saturday, but it will be here by next Saturday.

Work is work ruester. Not much you can do about that. Anyway, who can complain... you're hosting.
 
Hey all, sorry I haven't been able to keep up on this forum too often, I have my computer at Fry's getting rebuilt and they are taking forever!! It's been almost 3 weeks now, and they still don't have it done! It's so frustrating, and my internet time is somewhat diminished due to that.

tommyinla: I saw your question, my focus, for the moment is getting to know my camera better, so I want to do any project I can get my hands on, as well as learn from others! (if my schedule permits) I'm having to look for work as well, which has been distracting me from my host duties. As soon as I get some regular income coming in, I will be more focused! Sorry, about the tangent, lol, I want to end up doing films, shorts, documentaries... basically I like all creative aspects of owning this HVX and want to put it to use and eventually might whittle down my focus. I also want to get to where I can make a little money with this camera, not a sole purpose, but one that intrigues me!! (whom doesn't it?, lol)

Thanks for the understanding, I just hate being undependable (is that a word?) And that (Snod35) kicks ass! Can't wait to see that as well!
Besides, I don't know if my computer will be out by this sat. in case anyone brings footage, so the extra week will help there as well!
I'll be doing better to keep up on this thread, so keep up the good postings!!

Meeting in Riverside?

Is there a chance there'll be a meeting in the Riverside/Inland area anytime soon? LA is pretty far off for me - At least an hour plus drive... And I don't have a car arrgh.
