Hey all, just finished the first episode of our sketch comedy show. It's just something me and my friends have been doing for fun over the past few years. We spent a whopping total of $21 on this one! But nonetheless, it still came out pretty funny.

Problems I am aware of:
Audio in a few places overmodulates and the crinkling of clothes against the mic can be heard.

Lighting is a little harsh at some places, but we shot guerilla style so there was no time to set up lighting (same applies to audio).

A few other problems as well since again, we shot guerilla style, but it was a fun learning experience. Any feedback is greatly appreciated (even if you absolutely hated it).

Cool... I checked it out would be better if you had time to set up lighting and and mics.. you may need to get you a boom mic with about 12' length. What camera did you use for that?

I used the dvx.

Yeah, I wish I had the time, but I have to be in and out of locations before I draw attention from security.

I always wanted a boom mic to make audio a little easier but the problem is that nobody knows how to run audio except for me, and I have to focus on the camera, and nobody wants to work for free around where I live (that $21 budget you know).

Glad you checked it out though!

yo man i thought that was awesome - there was some technical difficulties with it as far as audio and video goes but it was well scripted and had me and my friend laughing - do you guys have a website or something i would definetely like to check out more episodes! goodluck

i totally agree as far as production goes, BUT that is some funny content! keep doing what you're doing, and better equipment, people who know how to help you out more, and production value will all come with time.

the most important part is content anyway.

funny stuff!

Yeah I've seen your stuff before and I think you guys are really, really funny.

I don't mind the audio and lights that much because the content is good. If you wanted to really improve your audio, I would invest in a couple of lav mics before a boom. That way when you run and gun, they can be hidden on the actors and you don't need another person to boom.

Wait, I see lav mics. What's the issue?

But mainly I think you would get even more punch out of your jokes if you took some air out of your scenes. In general, I think it would be even funnier with almost every cut shorter.

Also, in the first bit when the gun goes off right at the camera. I was waiting for the camera to fall over, which might have been a nice touch. :)

But dude, The "Sharks" bit, when that fin goes by the car window, I lost it. THAT was funny. Go watch my short: Man-Hole IV. we do a Sam Jackson bit like that too and I think you'd get a kick out of it.

But you guys are very funny. Look forward to more.

Oh yeah, and the NSecure bit made me spit up soda on my desk.

Yeah we had two lavalier mics.

I probably could have had some great audio if I wasn't in such a hurry for each shot. Maybe one day my school will cooperate and let me have some freedom to shoot. :D

Anyways, glad you guys are lovin' it. I was nervous about a few skits at first but I guess my gut feeling was right. We're starting on the second episode sometime this week.
