Why do we get such a raw deal in Europe ?

Yea, I was joking, meaning you pay high taxes. Big debate coming, IMHO,in the states on moving to a socialized medicine model. Many here are aware of what has worked and what hasn't. In the interest of being good company, I will stay way from all subjects regarding politics and religion.

Another example are Switzerland and Germany. South-Germany is making _a lot_ of money from Swiss people passing the border and buying consumer goods in Germany that often cost 50% less than in Switzerland. On the other hand, people from Germany living on the border of Switzerland work in Switzerland, _earn a lot_ here, but spend the money mainly in Germany.

Yeah, and many germans are bringing black money to swiss banks. The won't spend this money in germany and won't pay tax for it thanks to the swiss banker's discretion.

Well, it finally equals out, as it is way more complicated. But we are not allowed to talk politics on dvxuser.com, as far as I know.

One of the main reasons I bought the HVX in NTSC-Country is 24P. I don't spend a fortune to have only 25P that every el cheapo camera has. I want 24P. I did not buy this thing for video, I did buy this thing for film.
