Now given I shot this with a720p/24pn 24fps and 60fps @ 1/24 shutter. I think I should have left the iris on Auto and the shutter at least to a 1/250 but hopefully it would be fine since the the higher you go the more light it requires. But anyways my first time and not my last.

This shutter made some intresting shots, Looks better when played , but frame by frame, not so attractive :)

Any feedback on how you would shoot such fast and high pase, not to mention Full zoomed in as well. And settings. Thanks

I have small amount of hosting, so I can only put it up for a couple mins, Not literally. But if someone can d-load and then host that would be great. Just send me a link.
I just did a fast edit, to give an idea, and took a track from a artist I chatted with back in 1999.

Please Right Click and D-load

P.S. I only shot for about 15mins.

looks good. action is clear not alot of strobing. i would prolly try 200° with 250 shutter. Cant wait to try football on the smooth shooter.

Ya, it was shot in 24p, which I figure Motion Picture is shot that way, I wontder if it is more than just that. I agree on the shutter. Still trying to understand. And I go out and learn. Best way is Sometimes learning yourself. So shutter was on defualt 180.0 and 1/24.

Do you think 1/250 shutter at 200 degrees will make the ball clear in ever frame?

I know I can shoot video mode. like 720p/60p in video at 1/120 and get a clear ball in all frames. But I want to maybe try a sports short and might help if I take that on.

How do you think Motion Picture and Television Networks do it. Meaning what do you think their settings are :)

Cynic: Thanks for the heads up.

I need help on the settings..

Play with your cam till you get the look that you need.... If that fails try reading Barry's book. Very insightful.

I am going to be shooting at the games now as much as I can.

I am going to be shooting the 1/250 with a 200 degree today. Shooting football is fun, I played from little through half of HighSchool and the energy that I get from watching is electric. I wish we did have a longer zoom. However our MIGHTY wideangle is want is more important to me :)

You can't shoot 1/250 with a 200 degree shutter. The two are mutually exclusive.

You either use the syncro scan shutter (such as 1/51.3 or 200.0d) or you use the fixed shutter speeds (like 1/60 or 1/250). But you can't have both.

love this footage!! would really like to see it in 60p with slow-motion.

the nebraska huskers' first game is today!! HOORAY FOR STUDENT PRICED TICKETS!!!!
