Hi all - just wanted to inform you of my valid newegg purchase. Here's the process I followed.

I ordered the cam (3199.00) and immediately emailed newegg telling them it had better be a valid USA cam or I'd return it. I then called them and had the person on the phone email the warehouse with my request, and also note my account.

I called Veronica at the Panasonic rebate center and let her know I'd be getting my cam in a few days and that I wanted to have it verified. I got the cam last night, submitted the rebate, and emailed Veronica today. She confirmed it was a valid USA cam & warranty and told me I'd get the book/dvd/software sometime next week, and that the 350 would be mailed out in 6 weeks.

The camera is the AG-DVX100BPS - the one with the rebate info directly in the box.

The 500 bucks I saved going with newegg went to a tripod and head at B&H.

Get them while they last - you're saving money.

Thats a good deal. I was looking into doing that through newegg but I only had $2500 to spend so I got a used dvx100a with a case instead.

i just got mine from Profeel (video page) for 3139.oo before rebate that was the beggining of AUG, i jstu checked and the price on it is now 3188... i wouda got it from newegg except i live in CA...

the dvx page on newegg has said out of stock for almost a week and now it's back to in stock.

I want to order it but I am scared!!! I might just take chance and risk it.

it's just money, right?

well the pakage came with the rebate form inside, a warranty card that says usa on it,...but so far ive shot about 6 hours of footage and eeek been capturing the footage on FCP with no problems.

and yes it was the full package, battery, tape, charger, ect...

I think Ill buy it from there then. They have the cheepest price. Although the price listed is with the rebate included, and for some reason though below it, it says the manufacture rebate is $400... Thats not right its $350 isn't it. Whats the dealio with that. Do you guys think its best to go with newegg then? Or do you think its a good deal to go with profeel.com and get,
  • 5 Year Extended Warranty
(additional 4 years parts & labor with nationwide service)
  • Panasonic 5-Hour Lithium Ion Battery
  • 5 Panasonic Pro AY-DVM63MQ Master Mini DV Tapes
  • Deluxe Weather Resistant Semi Hard Case
  • Protective UV Filter
    72 mm
All for only an aditional $399.

i only went with profeel to save on tax, cuz i live in CA, but after reading some posts on here about profeel, if ya dont live in CA or dont mind paying tax , id probally go with Newegg. and id do some research about their extended warranty first.

and ya the 400 rebate was one of the first ones offered, now its only 350, profeel has 2 www. to check out the "profeelvideo.com" one has the right rebate info and sometimes slightly cheaper prices

So i went do the reg places on all the stuff i got with the camera, from profeel and it looks like ive entered the correct info, and i can get a screen on the panasonic web site that says i get a 350 rebate.... the check is yet to be printed , wait 4-6 weeks blah blah, maybe I got one of the good ones

Just wanted to chirp in and say I had a great experience with NewEgg as well: received my DVX100B promptly, sent away for the rebate and received both the book/CD and $350 check with no problems whatsoever.

I'm still very satisfied with my 100a that i got for $2800 after rebate along with the 10 dv tapes, additional battery, Berry's Book and DVD and the magic bullet software.

Well i just bought my 100B from dvshop.ca and said to get it on tuesday. So stoked! I bought a different shotgun mic as well. I was told the panasonic mic isnt that great.
