Any other alternatives to receiving money other than Paypal ????

I've recently have had a huge headache with this company (someone tried to hack my account), and have had nothing but problem after problem. I must say they are very very very unprofessional, and unhelpful.


My girlfriend recently had a problem with someone stealing $2000.00 out of her paypal account (wow 2 hacks in just two months, hmmmm), but paypal shrugged their shoulders and said "SORRY YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS MATTER UP WITH EBAY", WHATTTTTTTTT ?????

Doesn't paypal own ebay or vice versa?

I can't believe this company, the money was in her PAYPAL account, and magically disappeared (hmmmmmmmm I'm wondering where that went) ? So now they're telling her she has to pay the amount in full in-order for paypal to turn my account and her account back on (what a bunch of bullsh*t) !! PAYPAL INS'T YOUR PAL!







*** This is my main concern, is there any other way to receive money like paypal, but a much safer company to deal with? ***

I sell stuff all the time to dvx user here, and I would hate for anything like this to happen in the middle of doing business with someone here or whereever, like it has to me and my girlfriend.

Sure you can talk about it here. Lots of merch on this site is sold using Paypal and I agree with you, Paypal is VERY unprofessioinal. It is a huge wonder as to why Ebay made them a subsidiary. To me Paypal is like the MySpace of banking. Really crappy security, really crappy web site design, really crappy crap. I'm not surprised you had problems with your account. I know many people and have read many stories and I myself have had not so smooth transactions with Pay"pal".

I do not know of any alternative to them. Money Orders? Cashiers check? Cash in person? Didn't Google have something going on along these lines?

That is BS!! There should be something you can do. Makes me so angry that people do crap like this. It ruins it for honest people. I have heard some stories about them. This is the last straw. I will not use them.
 
This is some helpful advice for those of you who still use paypal. NEVER ever pay an item off in a lay-a-way fashion. If you make more than one payment on the same thing it is considered a virtual item.
Example: I tried buying an MKH-70 awhile ago, three $500 payments later I was stuck with an "i'm sorry, we cant make the seller send you the item or refund you, since none of your three payments are for one item each, it becomes a virtual item. Sorry" that was paypal's answer.
 
if you do substantial online selling, i'd recommend opening a business account with a bank that specializes in e-commerce. they'll take a percentage of every transaction probably, but that's what everyone else does. when it comes down to it, you just need to be able to take people's credit card. i know suntrust here in atlanta offers a service for $75/mo or something like that which includes a credit card scanner and online services.

This company is doing the same thing without the credit machine, just using the numbers of the card. Your money then goes directly into your personal checking account, at-least that's what they say.
