Check out our spec spot. Its got a touch of a political message so we put it up on JibJab.

Sorry had to remove the link. We have a new client interested. I'll re-edit and post.

Thanks Kovarova!

(Hmmm over 150 views...one comment...tough crowd.

probably should have shot some slo-mo....they love that slo-mo...)

I would, as I know most would like to know the obvious. Settings, format, Workflow.

Also I am assuming this was shot with the HVX! You might get more feedback when metioning these in the first post.

also please put up atleast a 500x281 QuickTime. If you need hosting, there are people that do offer hosting, and also sites that allow you to pust upto 50mb files for d-loading purposes.

The title of the thread is DRUGS SHOT ON HVX.

Anyway, I liked it, had me chuckling.

I agree the ladies were hilarious.

Good Work!

yeah the title of the post would have led me to conclude that it was shot on the HVX, but that's cool, those thread titles are hard to read. I didn't intend to turn it into a tweeky review, I put it out there for general interest sake.

Hey, isn't that green overhead practical cool? That started off as kind of a joke. I had a home variety day light florescent bulb in my kit and I screwed it in because I thought it would look funny, but then we thought is was kind of creapy neat. I guess a green spike isn't always bad.

Getting a mini35 tomorrow, I'll be sure to post some images/footage when I get something shot.

Funny

Funny

I enjoyed it. The ending made me chuckle because it is so true (I've dealt with it at work).

Nice pro stuff...talent was excellent...tip of the hat to the sound guy/gal who are never acknowledged. Yeah the green overhead was cool...gave it that nice sinister look. Great work guy.

I agree with most everyone elses comments. I wanted to make a comment on the first shot though, I really like it, it's very smooth and looks great. Great job overall.

Great look. Good sound. Very good concept. The timing of the punchline -- visually and otherwise -- is off.

Humor's a tough one. I liked the senior citizen concept but after the initial surprise of the two ladies it seemed to drag a bit. I was expecting something else to happen along the way.

That last comment was funny, tho. Slightly cleaner audio with a little less ambience would help intelligibility.

Otherwise, nice work!

This is probably the best thing I've seen shot with the hvx on here so far, no guns or fighting, and the humour was right up my alley. I only wish there was a good quality downloadable version of this. Let's see some more!

Hey thanks for all the feedback. The piece definitely seems to be tweaking a nerve with people. Sorry I don't have a high res version up. Been busy and I'm going out of town, but I'll try to get one online early next week.

Ironically we shot the spot in the back room of an old pharmacy..rats and all...so yeah it had texture.

lol

did you write the dialogue for this?

My business partner wrote it. He's a funny guy and a great writer. I had the good sense a few years back to partner with a good writer. He's taking care of his parents, so he knows a thing or two about the subject matter.

Kovarova...nice myspace site by the way. gorgeous stuff.

The two ladies did a great job. They really worked hard on this spot.

Thanks again for all the comments (and acute observations.)

I'll try to get a better version online soon.

I would love to shoot with old people. HOWEVER I have a big fear that they wont respect me because I am younger. Was this the case. Did you have the same fear as a director. How did they take direction? Where these old people trained actors? I know so many questions.

you pulled this off real nice. Cant wait to see more. Also post a high res. version if you can.
