So we were in this film fest over the weekend, we had to write, shoot, cut and score this video. We know there is issues with the audio but whatever it was a tough thing we did this weekend and a great learning experience. So check it out and leave us some feedback. Thanks. This is all shot with 2 dvx 100 a's. Can't wait to get the HVX's in the mail!

Nice but yeah I can't hear a damn thing a few times, sorry. But plenty of good shots.

I actually did that contest last year - won a few awards but never got my prize in the mail LOL - luckily is was just a magazine subscription, so nothing to be missed.

This year it was so close to the National Film Challange in the fall, so passed it up.

Good luck. Luckily for you I think there are half as many teams as before - hopefully that'll make easier competition.

i liked the idea behind the short and for 72 hours, not a bad job. my only real qualms are about your cuts... for instance, when the son gets out of the car and just all of the sudden APPEARS in the kitchen. it felt strange and unreal.

anyways, good luck to ya.

Yo...I liked it. At first I found myself critisizing it alot...like the odd cuts when he was looking at her get out of the car over and over again saying 'hi' as he watered the grass..it felt out of place. Or how he tried to kiss her at the end and she ran out of terror...I don't feel his approach deserved that hectic of a response.

But I thought that the sons acting was great, He's really good. the mother's terrible.

I watched your shots, and this is the way that I direct..I watch indy films and think ...'How would Spielberg approach this shot'...lol, not to say I want to direct like Steven, but usually how HE does it is how IT'S DONE. Just for instance, when you followed the dad to the door at the end, you lagged WAAAY behind him, camera jittery and everything. Steven woulda been right behind their shoulder on a smooth dolly with some intense lighting...lol.

The STORY:Interesting
The story TELLING:...not as much
