I don't think much of Cruise as an actor...Not my style, but in no way am I influenced by his beliefs. Mel gibson is a great actor and his recent social mistakes are going to be a burden for him. But they are just that, mistakes! If I was thrown out on my ear for every mistake I'd made, I'd be living under a bridge someplace. I think Tom Cruises downfall has been his inability to separate his personal beliefs from the interests of those who pay his way. I still feel uneasy with how quickly we (the masses) turn on celebrities like packs of rabid dogs based on media hype and nonsense. We do not know these people and have no idea if what has been fed to us by the media is true or not...More importantly, we don't seem to care. We simply read a blurb in a trash mag or see some bad press on ET and ...BAM!!! The guy's an asshole! We all have our faults, some more pronounced than others I for one wouldn't want to be judged on second hand, pimped up reporting re some of the stuff I don't quite have a handle on yet. Just my thoughts.
