Vodka Martini's and Hamburger Helper

Ban Me Please!
OK, so I've been drinking a bit this evening and found myself really hungry, so I decided to go the pantry to find a snack. I open the door and there two shelves up is something that says Hamburger Helper, except that it's a box of HH singles. Just like EasyMac, but only it's Hamburger Helper. Not only that but there are two boxes including Lasagna Mac or something like that. I guess having a young son has some real benefits.

All you have to do is pour out a pouch into a microwave-safe bowl and micro for 5 minutes with some water, stir and wait. ****ing amazing!!!!

Let me just say that I'm a big fan of food and martinis. Melting Pot and Martini? Check. Ruth's Chris and Martini's? Check. Again, i'm a big fan of food, but one of my favorite guilty-plaesure foods is Hamburger Helper. Not sure why. Maybe the lean years as a child entrenched in trailer-park living in the mid-West. I'm not really sure, but if you tell me that I can sit in my man-chair, Martini in hand and eat instant HH all night....well, you can keep the steak.

thanks for listening,

J.

LMAO

A man after my own heart

I'm sipping a beer now (Violating my NO DRINKY DURING THE WEEKY policy that I recently reinstated after a 2 months virtual vacation

I blame David.

David, we love you whoever you are. :)

Greygoose and believe it or not good ol' Stoli's if you're going to sip it straight. John just remember the Vodka wears off easier than beer and with your workout routine it metabolizes better....I think. :)

Funny thing about eating this kind of food is that I never ate it during the college years and now I can afford much better food than back then, save for a daily dose of Russian caviar (which I can't stand) and now I eat garbage most of the time. :)

Life is strange.

PS. We only live once and whether it's 50 years or 150, it'll never be enough, so let's eat, drink and then drink some more...oh and something about being Merry. Whatever that means.

Bravo !

I'm with ya

My wife likes Dirty Martini's (Easy kid's. Ill ban you if you say anything derog about my wife and Dirty in the same sentence)

Always Grey Goose

Jeeez INsanity

Im doing Light Beer these days (Or a nice Cabernet; depending on the meal)

-

What am I talking about ? Oh yeah' one time is it !!!

John. My wife goes dirty with the Goose....it's her only drink. She likes it real dirty.

....OK, that sounded wrong and it wasn't really intended....or was it?

PS-See, you're still on the health kick because the Cabernet is really good for digesting food as you probably know.

"these days" LMAO.

I am 14- but I will speak in honesty- Grandparents and uncles (who live so far out in the country that the cops havent seen that side of the town in 14 years) will give out small drinks, despite parents' pleads not to give them to you.

Smirnoff happens to be just one of the good ones. (Hence my sig)

And of course, these are tiny sips, or tiny tiny shot glasses, nothing more.

I love Hamburger Helper! Give me some Cheeseburger Maccaroni and I'm a happy guy... oh yeah, I'll take the booze too.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

My wife cooked us some hamburger helper just once...it tasted like rotten meat and spoiled cheese...we now eat at taco bell...
oh wait...same thing

Vodka? Meh. Though I do like Chopin if I have to drink the stuff.

Gin Martinis are where it's at. Straight up with a twist, or olives if I'm hungry.

But give me a Hendricks Martini over anything else ... with a cucumber garnish. Yep, that's the good life.

That Chopin is good stuff and actually came in handy recently on a trip. My sister-in-law has recently been diagnosed with Celiacs Disease which is an allergy to wheat and gluten of all things....no traditional pizza, bread, cereal, spaghetti, lasagna, beer, vodka etc. etc. etc. Can you even imagine???

We just went to the Outer Banks and I was her "pad'ner"....in my family we pick partners to look out for one another...makes it more fun and interesting" ...I bought her a bottle of Chopin because it is Potato Vodka and made with no gluten...She was very appreciative of the cosmos.

As for me...I'll drink anything. As Frank Sinatra once said and I've probably mentioned this quote before, "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. Because when they get up in the morning, thats the best they're gonna feel all day."

The Goose or I really like Level. As for my number two drink it has to be Bombay Gin. I love the stuff would drink it all day if I could. But then again just give me a good ole heff and i'm good.

As for the HH I know what you guys are talking about. Good ole poo pooo food is good every once in awhile. And when your craving it the best stake wont even taest close to as good.
