FOOTAGE: HVX & M2 Redrock Adapter "Motivity"

Very cool, just took forever to download. I wish we could get some 720P WMV footage of HVX material. I'd love to see more HD footage that is shorter in length.

It does have one. You can go to 2.4

All of those shots from any sort of distance were using the 70-200

I guess it must be the Sigma lens because I have the Nikon 70-200 and it doesn't have the ring. Great footage BTW.

started the download, headed down to Taco Bell, came back and it was done. I loved a lot of the compositions more than anything, especially the tractor and the guy sweeping into the hole. Did you have much trouble with the M2? Just wondering, I am waiting for mine.

That looked really nice. It was better than a lot of the music videos I see here and this was only a test. The shots with the backhoe and the water were freaking sweet. I really loved the reverse of the dirt being swept in the hole. Great looking test dude.

don't you just ****ing LOVE that rig??!?! looks just like mine, but I have the Cavision 4x4 matte box with french flags ..;)

That was really cool. Makes me want an M2 and an HVX...

And reminds of my need for food more than camera equipment though.

Wow! That was frickin' sweet, as mentioned before I loved the construction one with the water in reverse, it was oh so smooth.:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Man,
how much have you been eating?
If i had gone for eating in the mean time of download, id look like pork now..!:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

This is a Nikon. A C-Mount. Totally different lens.
When you say C-mount, are you referring to the threaded screw in type? I have some C-mount lenses but they are very small (I use them on the Toshiba 3 chip "Ice Cube" lipstick camera, with an awesome 4MM lens). Can't be the same type of C-Mount!

I'm also curious if M2 has mounts available for the old bayonet style mount used on the Arriflex S camera. I have some very fast Schneiders for my Arri S. My thought would be that they may also be too small. Anyone try using these? (I know M2 has a PL mount available for primes).

Awesome stuff. This is the best looking M2 stuff I've seen so far. This piece should be enough to convince some of my buds to throw some money together so we can get an M2. Thanks man!

BTW, what song/group is the music? I'm really digging it.

Also* It looks like you've got a few dolly shots in there; were you using a big setup or something indy like RoweCine?

Yea, somethign about dirty Construction equiptment... IT ALWAYS LOOKS GREAT ON FILM. I tested the Go35 35mm adpter by shooting a backhoe, and it looks like a milllion bucks, somethign about it.

Stuff was grea though.

Motivity! Great stuff as always! You guys do a great job showing what the HVX can do when coupled with great talent. Your previous footage posts on dv.com were a HUGE deciding factor in getting the HVX. Keep up the great work and thanks!
P.S. Panasonic should hook you up with some gear as you swayed more than a few people for the HVX.

I meant to say F-mount...oh well.

Finally! Some HVX footage I like the look of! The pickings have been few and far between so far. I know its a new camera and everyone is still learning it but I've been mostly unimpressed. But this test is killer! I may yet get convinced to buy one. :)

Some of those clips are going up on www.MotionZoneHD.com

Here is some more of David's footage

And about 700 other HVX clips. Just shipped some DVD's to Pana of
sample footage that Jan will be using. Yes things are getting interesting now!
