***Timelapse Reel of HVX stuff***

That was really good man. I loved the music and the editing was spot on. What was the music you used?

wow. Drew599 your guys work with the D20 is ledgendry and Inspired me on the 2fps test shooting I did before Yesturdays Tommoro of course 1/2 a sec Exposures at 2frps isn't even close to what you guys got on the D20. on google you guys where teh first thing I saw when I tried "Timelapse Reel" so any Complements from you guys is huge.

I cut it my self. the music is from the Battlestar Galatica TV show Belive it or not. a friend of mine used it for a Spec comercail I shot and I was waiting to use it in a reel some where I could have longer shots.

The answer to how its done is a lifetime of learning Eletonics and 6 months of Studying Motion control and Robotics. some freinds at Motarola said to make the box I wanted would cost about $10,000 to build. I Jurry riged and mygyverd something Else and "not includeing my sticks" cost less then $500.
and its in infant stage next I want to set up a Dollly rig for it. we "faked" Mo-co dolly shots on YT and I would love to do them for real. I've also been doing a lot of Specal effect testing with the Rig its working so far.

so to help me out any shots I should pull and whats your favorite I sould keep?

Hey man, many great shots and excellent choice of music! Here is my list of good and bad shots, in my opinion. Not trying to be picky but I figured you'd want as much detailed feedback as possible. Generally, what I didn't like were a few pans that seem too fast and your mo-co rig seems to not be leveled so it started to roll in some of the shots. Not sure if you intended for the roll but to my eyes it took away from the shot (except for the last one which the roll seemed to help).

Shots I liked:

00:00:06 Mo-co clouds
00:00:07 Sunset harbor
00:00:18 Sun through power lines
00:00:35 Desert sunrise
00:00:38 Mo-co UCLA Wonder Woman
00:00:40 Downtown LA
00:00:44 Late night streets
00:00:45 Vehicle Mount
00:00:46 Intersection
00:00:48 Moon through clouds
00:00:49 Sunlight kitchen
00:00:52 Frenetic Downtown LA
00:00:54 Mo-co clouds

Shots I didn't like:

00:00:13 Mo-co neighborhood. I like this but wish the mo-co was level.
00:00:18 Mo-co UCLA. I also like this but wish the mo-co was level.
00:00:27 Mo-co sunset harbor. Pan feels too fast.
00:00:28 Mo-co Sedona. Pan feels too fast.
00:00:30 Mo-co beach. Railing is a little distracting.
00:00:47 Mo-co cityscape. Prefer the shot to have been level but might be okay.

Freakin awesome dude! I tried making a moco dolly once... needless to say it didn't work out... but you have inspired me to hit the drawing board again. Thanks mang.

Vincent, thanks for the kind words about my reel and just to let you know 599 Productions is just me...at least for right now. But your stuff is on the level. Makes me want to try out shooting timelapse on my HVX.

But like tnle2 said there were some trouble shots but for the most part the shots were really good. Keep it up.

wow thanks tnle2 very detailed Critisium wish more of you where like that. yeah my first Prototype was always dutch, but I'm makeing it better problem is theres no good way to level it but im changeing that.

very cool crit. a lot of Suprises the moon shot. sun through power lines thouse where almost pulled out. thanks

and most of the later shots I can slow down a little and try to level a little. thought I was able to get away with them. thanks also

Drew 599 your stuff makes me want to buy a D100? and play around.

Vincent... Very nice timelapse reel. Love your demo as well... Sweet looking stuff and thanks for sharing.

I really liked the carnival footage and the ending series of cloud timelapses are stunning... Keep us up to date on your mo co solution....

Thanks for showing!

the carnival is from santa monica peir glad you liked that as well I was thinking of pulling some of it.

Today I tested Ver. one of my MO-CO dolly ...it runs but only in one direction and I have very limited settings on its speed......grr well at lest it ran....

Keep working on your rig, cause once you iron out the bumps, I'm sure your' footy will be sick. Try to do timelapses that last longer so one can appreciate them, and slow down and smoothout those rig movements big time

so Dog cat you think the Whole Cut is to fast? are the Clips moving to fast? shots cut to short? and yes the Moc co rig unlevelnewss Im trying to fix. most of the Clips I speed Up a little so I can slow down the movment. but its hard for me to keep the same speed of clips yet make them longer(part of my ADD works against shooting timelapses because I have no Patents... but Im no doctor ethier..
