Weapons of Glass Destruction

A buddy of mine recently got me interested in brewing my own beer. In an effort to help out, he brought me many, many, many bottles late last night as a surprise and left them in front of my garage door. It was certainly surprising as I drove forward out my garage this morning and experienced loud popping and crunching glass under my tires followed by the vision of several beer bottles rolling down my steep driveway ahead of me.

When I stopped and got out, this is what I saw...

Yikes... good deeds gone bad, eh?

On a side note, I picked up a 6 pack of Dead Man's Ale last week. At first it was pretty good (very malty) but after about one bottle it got to be horrible.

Had to wash it down with some Firestone Double Barrell. Mmm, tasty.

Brewing your own beer isnt worth it. It doesnt taste real good.:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Really, it doesnt. The best ive tasted (via sipping, I assure you) is 50, something that is, I think, strictly Canadian.

You got that right, Horse.

Im saying I have brewed my own beer. And it didnt taste too incredible.

The best beer is called "50". Its canadian. And I said I only have tasted numerous beers via sipping because of the thing known as the Drinking Age Limit. But in Canada, you can get drunk at my age, 14, and it really doesnt matter. I havent drunk that much really, but I thought 50 tasted the best.

I dont know if it was brewing, though. More like fermenting. What ever it was, it was in an old farmers book. Ill also be making wine out of corn soon.

I've had awesome homebrew before. No offense, but I'm not gonna take beer brewing/tasting advice from a 14 year old. :)

My buddy brews beer, and it's pretty good.

10 gallons lukewarm water
1 can (3lbs) hop-flavored malt syrup
10 lbs sugar
1 package yeast

Pour it all together. Cover, and place in a warm place. Skim foam off frequently. Let sit (and skim frequently) for 4-6 days, until 10 bubbles appear per minute are seen in the center. Siphon into bottle. Cap. Allow to age for two weeks.

What I used.
