25P to Firestore & 25PN to card ??

Does anyone know if I can record 720/25PN to the P2 card and simulataneously record 720/25P to the firstore ?

As I understand it you cannot record 'PN' to the firestore, but you can record 'P' to the firestore. people have told me the firestore cannot record off-speed framerates but I presume offspeed in 'P' mode is ok (for later extracting in FCP's frame rate converter but 'PN' is not O.K

Does anyone know what the options are here ?
Essentially I want to record to the two sources at once (which I have done in 1080/25P mode) but i want to have the offspeed framerates available. And I would really prefer to shoot 'PN' just to save on card space.

i cant try this as i dont have a fs, but i fear its not possible, cause there wount be any stream from firewire(for FS) in PN mode, so you are limited to P2 if you shoot in this mode....!

And how should it work the other way around, as you can record only in one mode at the same time, there is no way to record in "P" mode and tell the cam to "strip" the extra frames and record PN in P mode...so no, i dont think that this will work.

Hi Matthew,

This is not possible as hvx_germanboy has already mentioned. The HVX200 does not output a stream over 1394 when any of the pN modes are selected.
