San Francisco HVX Meeting?

I'm down. I'm actually in a bit of a crunch. I was helping this guy shoot a short and were were going to shoot this Sunday. Now my folks are in town and I can't do the Sunday shoot at City Optix in the Marina on Chestnut. If anyone has an HVX and wants to do the shoot, it's only from 1-3. Anyone? If ya can, please contact me.

We'll figure out a date and time. Does anyone have something they want to teach, demo, or see covered? We're looking for presenters.

Also, if you want an e-mail with the details, PM me with your e-mail address. I've started a list just to communicate about the SF HVX/DVX User group schedule and agenda.
 
Glad to hear it Cynic821! I wish I was doing that shoot. You should get some exposure working at City Optix.

Next week I am working till 7:00pm each day in the East Bay. That might be for a while. So I guess I'll have to be late to any meeting.

Buy the end of next week I'll have the HVX mounted on a DVRigPro attached to a M2 and the Redrock follow focus. I have Noga arms mounted into the Rig to hold the Firestore and a Marshall modified to use the Panny batteries. I also have a Panny battery adapter mounted on the rig to power the Firestore, wireless transmitter, and M2. I'm sick of buying 9volt batteries. I had an extra plug added to the Marshall to power a wirless reciever.

I think it would be cool to take this out on the street and see what we can shoot, but I only have a 50mm f1.4 lens, so if anyone has some better Nikon mounts it would be cool. I'd like to then take the footage and bring it into Avid from the firestore, but BAVC only have 4.8, not 5.2.3. So maybe well have to just use FCP.

Hey, we could also try locking the time code of the cameras and do a multi camera shoot. Still not sure how that's done.
 
I'll be looking forward to it. I just got mine, so I'll have nothing to teach but lots to learn. (I was cameraless at the first meeting, so I've already made progress!)
 
i would be interested in going, but i only have a DVX :/ Dunno if that matters?
Also, hows the parking situation at BAVC?
 
I'm definitely interested...I have access to an HVX at work...but won't be able to bring with me....just want to learn more stuff...specifically the 35mm adapter....let me know when.

i might actually be able to make this meeting. i'm a DVX guy, but it's always nice to hang out with some new shooters.

ok. me and konton were hoping for a saturday, but wednesday will do for me, i dont think its good for him. Ill be there for certain though.
 
Saturday no good? Awww man...I'll have to get outta work early for the meeting but I'll be there with big Cynic.
