Guilty Pleasure Movie

I apologize for re-hashing a fun topic that was posted 2 years ago... sheesh.

Anyway, I have to admit that I like chessy sci-fi movies. Not really the old classics you would see on MST3K (even though that show rules) but the more modern ones that just didn't have the budget or star power to make it. I think a guaranteed script sell is one where a crew out in WAY deep space finds either an alien who hunts them down one by one (except for the hottie scientist or buff ship's mechanic with a bad attitude) OR something goes wrong with the ship and now it's a matter of survival...

Speaking of cheesy sci-fi, anyone ever seen "Screamers"? It's about a remote planet with little robots that burrow underground and hunt people down. They emit a loud high pitched scream before they come up out of the ground and kill. Too funny.

And the saddest part of that was it was based on a short story by the great sci-fi writer, Philip K. Dick, and adapted to screen by Dan O'Bannon of Alien fame :huh:
