This is a rough cut. i'm still messing with color and what not. any suggestions on how to go about it? i put a kind of green fliter over it. i don't know, you tell me.

Here is the set up for how i shot it:

....MUCH BETTER!! Very nice....nice pacing...performances are better....although the passenger needs a BIT of work......and that LIGHT on his right eye....WTF was that?.....anyway....yes.....Nicely done.

how did you light that thing, and did you do anything special in camera?

it was really cool, by the way. i dug the pacing and dialogue.

Original, How did you light the inside (green filter looks good). Some jumps in the dialogue are out of sync. Overall great stuff!!

i just used the light thats on the roof of the car and a flash light.

i tried getting a transformer to plug one of those home depot halegen lights into my car lighter socket...but it blew it out and now it doesnt work.

i think the interior car light came out pretty good anyway. i set the shutter at 1/24...opened up the aperature...and white balanced. then in final cut i bumped up the green midtones to match the color of the shot from the hood of the car.

the thing im stuggling with is when he opens the door. i tried shutting off the filter as he opens and closes the door to make it seemliuke the light is coming on and off. but im not sure how successful it is.

So much better.

So so so much better than the other scene you posted. I really liked those two guys. Reminded me a lot of Hollywood Shuffle. At first I thought it was a parody of their "Sneaking Into the Movies" characters.

I would watch out for how tight your sequencing is (especially for continuity) in some parts. It will be tough since they are smoking, but I noticed a few cuts where it could have flowed a little smoother. Also, I found it extremely distracting when the light changes when he hops back in the car and closes the door. It didn't work for me.

I definitely like this scene better.

I'm sure you already know it's there, but just in case. The colour shifts all of sudden when the passenger gets back in the car.

The flashlight on the passengers face is a little odd looking. Because it does look like someone is just shining him in the face and he isn't noticing.

But overall, good job.

Haha, that was so funny man. Make more of those. And hey, the video was perfect. Don't always worry about working on the smallest things like Barth said: "although the passenger needs a BIT of work...and that light on his right eye..WTF was that anyway?" These are lame remarks. When, in real life, have you looked at someone and said "WHY DOES THE LIGHT ON YOUR RIGHT EYE SHINE THAT WAY?" People seperate film from reality since they assume what they're watching is different. So a new judgemental way of thinking comes about. Its alright when things are rough or out of place. Its gritty and realistic. Keep it that way.

The light change isn't on the audiences mind, all they see is a strange saturation change when the door closes.

Nice audio, what's your whole set up like?

.....I'm hip to it man. I'll try harder to be less lame in the future. Will you help me? Please, feel free to call me out when you feel I'm being lame...or...a nerd...or maybe grody...or, not that I'll ever be, but let me know when I'm being narly as well. Glad you're out there to keep me down with it. Far out man, be cool.
