Keep the fans posted!

I think how awesome it is that feature film seeds are sprouted with good writing and a DVX in hand. I'm gonna get the DVD very soon. Keep us all posted on who will be in the film and who is producing and directing! :)

I am wondering how I should get Numbrobot going on a project of mine? How can I get quotes and such Alex?

You can call my office so we can talk or drop me an email. I will be out of town til Aug 20 so if you want to talk after that, let me know.

Thanks for the interest!!!:kali:

Regarding Max Hardcore's reply...I admit Broken wasn't all that -- composition, acting, ect. Behind the scenes were too ego driven for VFX that existed in several scenes. But u know what...? To hell with that! These guys busted their ass and made a short video that wasn't meant to be shown to friends and family. They marketed the crap out of it. I wish some of us could do the same thing.

At the end of the day, Alex and his people are great business men. They got my money for the DVD and they got $3 million. Now who's lauging to the bank u jealous SOB.

Thank bro for your honest comments!!! :kali:

But the compostion was not so bad was it??? ; )

Yep I own the DVD also and the extras were priceless. Just thought I would ask again what format do you expect to shoot on? Consider the HDX900 that thing should be within budget and provide better depth of field. Or maybe the Canon XL H1 uncompressed out. If I was Silicon Imaging I would give you one to use for free on your movie. What ever you use try something new that way you can get even more publicity. Oh man with that budget you can get some varicams. Lucky hard working devils. :)

Thanks! We haven't decide yet. HD, red camera, Sony 950???? Still debating.:kali:

They used Shake for the VFX on BROKEN, so they either used Keylight or Primatte for keying. Keylight can get pretty good results, and it comes with AE as well.

Hey Guys,

I've been getting a ton of private message about our new artbook called "The Art of BROKEN." Well it is finally available for purchase. It is selling for $29.99 (I know it is a bit pricey but that is the cost of self-publishing, we are not making much on the book at all, it's done mostly for you guys) Here is a bit about the book:

artofbroken_sales.jpg

A hefty 114 page artbook that illustrates the long pre-production and production process that artist Dan Cregan, Ken Robkin and director Alex Ferrari went through creating the world of BROKEN. This tribute showcases conceptual art, character designs, on-set photos, full short film screenplay, and visual effect breakdowns.

This book will whet the appetite of any BROKEN enthusiast with never before released artwork from the feature film version. This pictorial feast is a must-have for any indie filmmaker, art connoisseur, or film fan. It is proof that an indie film can be taken to a higher level.
