Just a very celebratory post that my dear daughter is turning 18 yrs old today!!! I feel very much like I did the day she was born... exhausted, but completely overwhelmed with a sense of love and pride that is so indescribable that it makes my heart want to burst out of my chest!
And in the fashion of things surrounding her...lastnight around 11:30p there was an incredible storm that came from seemingly nowhere. And right on cue, at midnight, the powerlines outside our home were hit by lightning, exploding in a brilliant ball of travelling flames and fire that were red, yellow, blue and white. After making sure the house wsnt going to turn to ash, I looked at her and just said "Happy Birthday!" and laughed.
