This is something I didn't think I was going to have to do. I MUST sell my HVX. I originally bought it back in mid-March to record and eventually produce a documentary on my wife and I adopting a baby.

While in the very beginning stages of the adoption process, we found out my wife is pregnant. So, in a short time, my reasoning for purchasing the camera went away. I hung onto it for the past several weeks hoping I could find another use for the camera, but I wasn't able to.

I am selling the camera, bought from an authorized dealer (Digital Video Group http://www.digitalvideogroup.com/), for $6000 w/ (1) 8GB P2 card. I only have put about 60 minutes or so on the card, and zero time on the tape transport. I've added the Kata BP502 Bag into the price of the camera.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the price includes an additional battery. (A DVXuser 5600mah.) I know this is a dealmaker/breaker for some of you. ;) I just wanted to make sure everything was noted.

The camera is immaculate.

Mr unfiltered, your wife is having a baby, the most wonderful and beautiful thing in the universe and you can't find a use for your camera? My children are the main reason I'm looking to buy an hvx.

Darn dog, the fact that your wife got pregnant made the documentary even more interesting!

It went from you guys planning on going overseas or locally to get a baby, then BAM! She's pregnant, that was a nice twist, hopefully you two were filming the beginning of the adoption process, then the SURPRISE/blessing of your wife getting pregnant!

I work with a L.A. based production company that is looking to buy an HVX. Is yours still available? is the $6000 "firm" price in the original post current? Please reply asap. Thanks,
