OOOh , yes my friedn you should.... and i recommend this to any filmmaker, you guys will just go crazy!!!! im telling you

i wanted to seeeeee morrreeeee! that guy was amazing, Brilliant and very well made might i add

I thought it was real good, but the title seemed weird to me...

I also thought the woman who said, "All art starts from chaos, but Michael just loves the chaos too much," didn't make much sense.

Who knows those probably both make sense to everybody else.

My dear friend thanks for your comment
as I said this is a trailer... and I giving some little things away
Art Officially Favored addresses how the creative impulse gives us a more official place in what we do as artist and how people react to that
Also the title adresses things that they are coming

for the woman ... well when you meet Michael and certainly you will in the movie you will understand why she said that hahahaha

thanks again

Best Regards

Martin

pretty cool, although probably not the "most unusual street musician" in the world. have you been to venice beach? those may not be the most unusual street musicians either but they are definitely more strange than this guy. i think "unique" or "interesting" would be more accurate. this guy has amazing "real" talent. the guy in venice that plays bass with his feet and drums with his albows while playing sax and singing michael jackson tunes all at the same time may not be as nice to listen to but more "unusual" for sure.

Yeah im not sure about the title either. Also, was there a few mic pops, booms?
I think it will be hard to make an engrossing full length programme on this particular guy alone. But i want u to prove me wrong dude.

hahahha is funny that you mention that guy, Michael played with that guy in the street and that said that Michael made him go nuts hahaha, again this is the trailer of a man that has much more to give he plays way more instruments... all super unusual made with rubbers and toys, he is pretty cool

Again the title of this post is so people get encourage or curious and see it, Michael and me support Artist as equals, where everybody has a voice in the same level of everybody

but again thanks

Best Regards

Thanks man as I put before this a rough cut trailer the movie is in post production so we decided to make a trailer to promote the movie but thanks for comments
Also yes you are right about how hard is to making a movie just about Mike... let tell you why :
THERE IS SO MUCH MATERIAL ABOUT THIS GUY'S LIFE AND CAREER!!!
and he is not only a musician that plays his own adapted instruments, he also
is a amazing recognized poet and a big political advocate , that made him become the Artist General, the defender of the arts, the creative community and the creative impulse.
( a tong and chick position to help the artist, that already got reviews everywhere/ just with that we can make a whole doc man !!! but thanks for the concern)

Thanks again on posting a comment I highly appeciated

I'm posting an explanation that Michael wrote about the title

"ART OFFICIALLY FAVORED

means just the opposite of "Officially Favored Art"--state-"approved" creative expression, etc...

rather it means ART-----creative expression---"officially favored", endorsed, advocated, supported...ART in its broadest definition--as in fact (by definition) the 'front lines' in the 'culture-war' --freedom of expression / creative energy in 'full-engagement' OPPOSITION to the forces of destruction.

ART OFFICIALLY FAVORED means FAVORING THE FORCE AND FORCES OF CREATION ITSELF.

It is more than 'public'--or political--it is in fact finally of the Spirit itself: COSMIC."

As an artist myself, I definately dig what you did. And to get Steven Tyler was pretty friggin cool...
Thanks MAn
they are more coming like Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Ry Cooder, Stewart Copeland from the Police and even we got and old quote from the great amazing guitar player, the late Andres Segovia

more to come

that guys reminds me of when im at a piano, sit my foot on the sustain peddle and only play with the sharp and flat notes ( black ones )

play them in any order, any notes, and it always sounds great. lol

there is a funny story behind that, Mike was working as a bellboy in a hotel in Michigan in his 20 and when Segovia came to town this was a huge deal, his hotel was super strict about everything and Mike was his bellboy all the time when he was there, but the hotel was always screwing up with the service ( they did'nt know why it was so bad they didn't do it on porpoise, just happened that way) execpt for Michael, that feeling so bad about Segovia's , he wrote Andres a poem after the concert that he attended thanks to Segovia's request.
When Segovia read the poem he was so amazed about the level of it, that he sign one of his albums to Michael with this quote:

"Disguied under the humble conditions of a bellboy, I wish Michael Masley to climb soon to the highest level of life for which he was born."

Man, good story... to actually meet some of those amazing musicians like that... I met Eric Clapton once... THAT was cool...
