When Would You Use A P2 Card Instead Of a Firestore

Just read a post on the loong transfer times with the fs-100. Can anyone else corroborate this? If it takes hours to dump footage from it onto hard drives then that could kill it as an option for me. BTW, I'll be using a 1.67 15" powerbook with external firewire drives.

Hi adam,

Things really slow down on FS-100 when transferring to another FireWire drive on the same FireWire bus. If you are transferring to external drives from FS-100 I would recommend a separate FireWire bus (e.g. another FireWire card) or transfer to USB2.
