Brightening Picture in Post

Is this possible. I have some dark shots that I would like to lighten in post, and wonder if anyone has any advice on how it should be done if it can. Thanks

Yes -- what NLE are you on? You should be able to easily bump your brightness and tweak your contrast... check the color correction features on your edit system.

yeh.. the worse thing is when you look at your footage and see that its really dark. better to have more light when filming than less light because you can always darken the video a lot more than lighten it up.

Use Color Finesse (a software you can install in FCP) and use curves (give it an "S" curve) and adjust with scopes and calibrated monitor. Nothing has done a better job than this for me.
