A friend and I shot a Doc on my DVX100b in 24p Digital squeeze. He has to go to DC and shot an interview with his camera (cuz i cant go) which is a XL2. what setting should he set his XL2 too make look most like the dvx. sence he doesn't have digital squeeze should he shoot native 16:9 24p? any other setting I need to be aware of?

Let him borrow your camera for the shoot.
Haven't had any experience with the XL2, but I'd recommend shooting native 16:9 for sure (24P), and if it was me... I'd shoot a flat image and manipulate in post to match the two. With some effort, they'll match up.
