Question not answered after reading Barry's book

Hi,
I have one question that I did not find an answer to in Barry's book. I shot 720p 24pn clips then edited in Avid xpress HD without a problem in a 72023.97 project. Once done, I exported the sequence as a quicktime movie. Now here is my question. Viewing the 24pn (progressive) footage as a quicktime movie on my progressive computer monitor, I see interlaced lines. Why? Can anyone help me understand this. Barry??

Thanks
Art

And I must say that Bary's book is great. I think it should be read for all interested/shooting 24p and HD etc..., not just HVX owners.

There is no reason whatsoever that you should be seeing interlace lines on progressive footage from a 720p source. This would be something caused by rendering to the QT file, although I can't think of what...

The only possibility that I can come up with is that, even though you exported to a progressive Quicktime movie, somehow you had field rendering set in the timelime where the clips were nested. Try checking the field properties of your timeline and clips as opposed to just checking your output settings.
