Music video shot on HVX

Wow, great editing!
Like the alternating black and white backgrounds. Very simple but effective.
What is that acoustic string instrument called?

Great visuals...great music...great editing......but something about the "attitude" involved in a lot of rap turns me off. Great job though!

That's cool. I dig the song and I don't typically like the bouncy knee wrist bobbing rap thing, but you throw a goddamned oud or lute or whatever the hell that is and it's some funky new world music. Very cool. What NLE did you use?

Visually it looks great, I'd just turn the sound down after about 10 seconds. (sorry it just got on my nerves)

I think there was some good shots. The song just made me laugh I don't know why. But all in all god work. I like more dynamic shots the straght on was getting old after awhile. But all in all good

I agree, rap is not my thing. Hell, music videos in general are not my thing. But you go where the work is, right? (I'm 19 and have no real education, so I can't be TOO picky about my jobs yet I suppose!) These guys are supposedly just on the breaking point of hitting it big, so it's an opportunity to get seen.

It was shot on actual white/black. Although FCP was used heavily to fix some parts where it was obvious it was shot against a screen.

do you own the HVX at 19? if so, I'm soooo jealous :P .. I'm 19 and I don't even have enough to rent it

cool vid.. simple and clean (gotta love that HD!!!)... not a fan of those zooms though

what did you edit on?

I liked the footage, I wish when I was 19 HD was popping for the prosumer. I owned 2 xl1's and worked for a small gov. station. I waited 7 yearsfor the HVX. Stupid XL series. The only good to come of them, was a steady paycheck, some shorts I shot, and 28 days later :)

I do not own the HVX. I own an XL2, and my XL2 is the camera I use 99% of the time. This was a bigger project, and these guys had a reasonable budget, so an HVX was brought in.

Everything was done in Final Cut 5.
